With such a high penalty to pay for questionable results, why take the risk when there are legitimate ways to get your site crawled and indexed by Google

There are two legitimate techniques or practices that can achieve immediate results but won't get you into trouble with bloggers or the search engines.

Having your site listed in web directories is the easiest way for Google to discover your new website and get your web pages crawled and indexed. There are hundreds of directories, which organize websites under different categories. Many of these directories have good Page Rank and are easy to get into if your site meets their submission criteria.

Submitting articles with your link in a resource box to article directories will also help get Google to discover your new website and get it crawled and indexed. If your site is search engine friendly, i.e., if your site is built so it can be easily crawled and indexed by the search engines, and you have relevant and unique content which is valuable or useful to your visitors, then your new site will not be stuck in the so called "sandbox."
