They also have fantastic introductory packages, that can get you started watching satellite TV at a very low cost. They also both have lots of programming packages in between their introductory package and their top packages, that offer loads of channels and options for you to choose from. They do have some differences though and that is one thing that sets them apart from each other.

Direct TV has good packages, that carry alot of channels at a good price but Dish Network has even larger packages that are similarly priced or even better priced for just about the same thing in programming. Dish Network offers alot more speciality programming, that Direct TV doesn't and this can make the difference in what provider you choose.

Direct TV does offer more in the way of sports programming though and they do have exclusive broadcasting rights to a few channels, that you have to pay extra for. Dish Network does have the smallest entry level programming package with fourty channels of great programming at a great low price.

So before you run right out and sign up with the first satellite TV programming provider you come across. Do a little shopping around and find out the facts that will help you make the right decision when it comes to choosing a satellite TV programming service provider.
